Godsgift: I know we've had this before but has anybody found a solution for noisey wipers. Mine were changed at the last service and came back noisey. So I replaced them with good quality ones but still they squeek. They used to be noisless!

I'm thinking its the blades are too loose or too tight......

Some very annoying folks on this site...try a 12 hour night shift with consant squeeking and you'll be ready to kill some comedian too!

Maybe they're like new shoes - you have to break them in or there could be some grit on your screen. Have you got cleaning fluid in the mix or is it just water??
I use to work in the car retail trade for a number of years and this is a common propbel and these are things you can do/check
1. The noise can be caused by the windscreen as a layer of dirt on the wondow can cause the screeching sound from the blades so clean the window and then running the blades for a few turns and see if the noise still is there
2. Check the wiper arms and follow it down to tthe shaft of the wipper motor and see if dirt has gotten into ti , if so spray some WD40 and it should clear up the noise
3. Let the blades run for a few mins as it will allow them to mould to the shape of the window
If the problem still continues , check to see that the original make of wipers were fitted and not another make as sometimes those lesser makes are not made of the proper durable blade

its the window not the wipers,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,clean the window with industrial achol ,,,,,,,,,,,
same thing happened to me..with only one making a terrible noise and it marked the window..turned out they fitted the cheaper ones..
there is nothing worse that driving with noisy wipers...it does my head in
