LusciousLibra: I actually know the answer to this one... strangely.

They pee out the waistband of the pants onto the road, if they are men. The women just pee and have a 'sanitary item' to absorb it.

Please do not ask me how I know this

wow that is some weird stuffrolling on the floor laughing

Thats very true, all done on the move! Sometimes on a quiet stage they'll stop but more often than not its done at speed. Lol. I watched the Tour today by the way and don't know how you could call it boring....confused

Im a former racing cyclist and I can answer your question. Some cyclists stop and pee on the side of the road and others (most) pee while moving but TV doesnt show it, well it wouldnt be nice.

No cyclist pee in their shorts otherwise they end up getting a severe rash. If you watch the whole race you will see some dropping to back of the peleton to pee so the camera doesnt show it.

Also as it the mountain stage most would pee 80km before the end or bottom of summit. And with the heat and dehydration every water they drink is burned up and sweated out. Ever noticed when you are in hot country on holiday you dont pee as much?
