I'm kinda addicted to lotions and potions, but money's not as good as it was, so anyone have any thrifty alternatives to your fave product or treatment.

For body scrub, the best i find is a mixture of sugar and olive oil..i like citrus scents, so sometimes mix lemon or grapefruit in toogrin conversing

Porridge oats and honey make a great face mask.

Use before a shower though cos no matter how hard you try to avoid it... the honey get in bits of your hair.

Meet your twin!

I spend a fortune on things for the bath laugh

Looooooooooooooooove L'Occitane stuff ... but only let myself get it for special occasions now.

Soap & Glory is a great mid-range alternative .... not quite as decadent but it makes me smell nice laugh

I'm a big fan of Lush bath bombs - especially the Big Blue which always makes me feel like I'm in a blue lagoon heart beating

Orla2010: I've only ever had Jo Malone stuff once and it was a present.

L'Occitane do lovely candles too ... although I find with some of them the scent can be a bit too weak.

Body Shop body butters are the best, hands down. I've tried so many. I'm a complete product junkie

For the last year I have been trying to decide whether salt or sugar scrubs are better ... I have finally come down on the side of salt scrubs. Think they do the job a bit better and are less sticky

I'm a big fan of putting oils in the bath .... at the moment I'm using a Dr.Hauschka rose one .... which I follow with a slathering of Body Shop Moroccan Rose body butter. Makes me smell like an North African princess

You're not helping my addiction here lady!!!rolling on the floor laughing
Got some Kneips bath salts at a spa recently...amazing!
I find the body shop ones really heavy and greasy, kinda clog my skin, but they do smell lush!
And yeah, salt is a way better scrub..i just love the smell of the sugar with the lemon, or grapefruit juice..feels more moisturised.

Ahh jeez i could go on all night about products rolling on the floor laughing

I love citrus scents too ... M & S Lemon Sugar scrub is a good budget buy .... smells like a bag of lemon sherbets!!!

And L'Occitane's Ruban d'Orange range transports me straight to a field of orange trees in Seville love smitten love

Scents I don't like are cocoa butter (Palmers stuff makes my stomach turn), peach, strawberry (too sweet by far), lavender, chocolate (I only like it when it's edible!),strong vanilla and ginger.

I got this stuff a while ago its called organics body america and its yummy I love the southern belle one. Found it again in Arnotts last year and my sister bought me loads of it as a bridesmaids gift but havent seen it since and Im running low. Its the sort of stuff that you put on in the morning and you can still smell and feel it on your skin going to bed but its not heavy and greasy.

Cheap and oh so very effective nail strenghtner
is apricot kernal oil (u need to rub it in every day) - way better than any many man made brittle nail causing solutions or similar oil based products at 4 to 5 times less the cost

Doubles as great light facial oil and body moisturiser
