I went to the recycling yard the other day to look for old computers for spare parts so I can learn how to build a computer from scratch .
I got about 7 computers here and will be great for parts
when I woke up this morning dying from wine consumption I was looking at one of the computers and I thought to myself jaysus that looks in fairly good condition wonder whats wrong with it
I plugged it in hooked it up to a monitor and it switched right on
Dell are a bad crowd to have contracts with, they sign 'em up for 5 or 10 years whatever the case maybe and replace the computers every few years and charge above board for the price...Most goverment institutions operate off Dell and it's a waste of taxpayers money........but still I'm not one for my conspiracies
Alexei23: Ya got there before the tinkers did fair play

Im not a dell fan myself I"ll stick to my macbooks but sure why throw out a perfectly good computer
reckon I"ll keep it for my own house and use it as a media centre

State Agencies and departments have to tender out virtually all of their purchases, including IT equipment . Dell win most of these contracts as they are generally able to supply the large amounts of PC's required at lower prices, however bad and all as their products are.

Do old PC's then go back to Dell or do they go to recylcing plants?
