Well to be honest I have wanted to do this for some time now ...but refused to pay a huge amount for something of this sort....so I waited till I found something along this line....it is in all reality exactly the size I wanted so I'm happy...conversing

I had one a few years back, A friend put five hundred into it for repairs, A few months later he said he couldnt sell it or even give it away, I took it for free and set it up as a hunting shack a 1/4 mile back to the center of My land, Would never take one again if someone paid me to take it, constant upkeep even sitting empty, no better place for black mold to grow, and nothing but an eye sore no matter where you park it, worst part is removal when the end comes, which they do have a short life span, Mine got creamated, just about started a forest fire, but was well worth the price of the match. good for black mold growth and rodent nests, but the screen porch would be a benefit, Congrats on your new purchasewave

Dav, I can tell you are so proud and excited right now. laugh

It's wonderful to get a good deal on something and have dreams about what you are going to do with it. Only you can envision what it's going to look like when you're done.

I've done the same thing with my barn and stuff. I had my land cleared, put up fences, and got a carport shed. Prior to me taking vacation I put up walls on the shed. It's a full blown barn now. laugh Everyday I go down and do a little something more to improve it. I caulked it this week and plan on painting the sides soon. We are going to build on some kind of back tomorrow so that we can store hay for the horses.

All this started with a vision of what things could be like and I just keep working on it.

It's good that you have "A"s go along with this. It will be a cool project for the both of you....notice I said both. laugh That means you have to scrub the thing, too. laugh

Good luck! thumbs up

My ex-husband had a rusted out old jeep that sat on the side of our driveway for ever. I kept telling him to get rid of the ugly looking thing....it didn't run.

He sold that thing for a $1,000 one day. I couldn't believe it, but I was so glad to see it go. It also had holes in the floorboard. laugh

I figure if you spend another 200 to 300 on a screen porch the camper will still be well worth the 150 you paid for it.
Isn't the bartering system wonderful, you made My day with hearing about your purchase. Great Bargindancing cheers
