But I have to say that the past week and some of the thread content left me thinking "this place sucks"... and was about to delete the account... I didn't, glad I didn't and will give it another couple of weeks to see if there is an improvement.
Most people are nice, have the craic but a few can be very verbal and viscous.

The forum mood goes up and down espescially around the meets. As a meet approaches it gets busier and busier and then after the meet it seems to die for 3 or 4 weeks. I don't quite understand why.
Also, there's a lot of new profiles the last few weeks who like yourself are still finding their feet. And in the middle of all that we have some trolls and oldies like me are sitting back a bit trying to figure who's real. We've been burned before.

that's the way we all felt at the beginning .... don't feel intimidated ... come to a meet, they are great fun .... and post and post and post .....

Ah Sugar. None of us knew each other before we joined. We got to know each other through posting. The last meet was near you in Glendalough and most of us had never met before but we had a great time.
So join in and you'll soon feel comfortable with us all.

i agree but find most here seem sound enough. i'm going to the cork meet, my first 1. but i have a safety net in that if i dont like it as i live in the city i can leave and go to my usual haunts.

i only joined in jan now i go to most of the meets the people i have met at them are so nice it,s like i have known them all my life if the meets are not in dub i get the train, if you want to email me we can arrange to meet up so you wount have to walk in alone im also on the book of faces name is marian kelly
