Okay, I’ve been on this website for nearly a month, and I’ve seen some pretty valid banning material.

1. Excessive Forum posting of nonsense: Could you at least take a look through the Forums and narrow out all the useless and utterly pointless forums; Such as, Happy_Wealthy Talks about doing his friends mother… Is this really needed in OUR forums? No….

2. “All members are adults”: If we’re all adults why can’t we show this? Language privileges are considered adult. Now I know the difference between using it in a jokingly manner and telling someone in the same post that it’s intended like that. And Of course telling someone off is utterly rude and well not tolerated. But if you call us adults why the restrictions? I mean this is your website and your rules I understand this but they seem to be contradicting themselves a bit, almost as if your stating we’re teenagers on a computer site.

3. Someone who starts a particular “Bad Forum” should be the one punished not those trying to make right. Example Venusenvy… She was simply defending a type of life style as the Original poster was damn near bashing Gypsy’s for who they were and their beliefs; Now to my knowledge this site doesn’t allow “Bashing” or any “Wrong” doing to a Type of belief or Race. So why punish those trying to back that of a belief and life style when they were defending it?

4. SPAM: it’s a big part of your website indeed, I understand this IS a FREE website to use but there can be limitations to constrict that of spam. Maybe add a feature that prevents Random people from talking to you, Like say “Block any and all emails from people in which you have not contacted or talked to within a 1 month bias time”

5. Stalkers and Multiple accounts, Is there any chance you could put more requirements into your Account setup features to disarm those who wish to make multiple profiles and spam the forums with constant annoyances?

Eh I consider one guy who consistently stalks me only to get some kind of reaction to my posts.. It’s getting really annoying, Can’t report him because he hasn’t said anything too the extreme of offensiveness but he does tend to follow me around in the forums… could you look into having a rule that states when asked to leave a person alone you do so; other wise you do get banned??? I would appreciate it.

Not trying to make up a stir but considering the fact that someone nice was banned due to a bad thread I kind of wanted to state and ask a couple of things; please don’t take this offensively or against the rules I’m simply asking and telling not judging or demanding.

thumbs up Very well said and you raise a lot of valid points, though the one advantage the mods do have is that they can see all messaging content and thereby have a fuller picture than the rest of us have. Hope it generates us some answers though.. cheers

it is valid but sadly it's unfare to those who don't do anything but try to protect people’s integrities only to be banned while there are a dozen other things that can be frowned upon and should be settled on first hand rather than second hand.

I feel very strong about the valid points in which I've given and if the mods don't see it that way and decide to ban me for one reason or another I can't help but sigh

I'm not trying to cause an uprise against the mods, I am however wanting justice to be done on the wrongful people not the right! that isn't how a gunshot victim is handled with a gunner...

the gunmen goes to jail while the victim gets nursed back to health that's the logic.

Unfortunately, you may have to wait quite a while for a reply as the main task of the mods is to generate income, thereby concentrate on advertising and ensuring all parts are working correctly.

Also, I am not 100% sure what time frame they work to but believe they are based in the USA and am not even sure how many staff they require to operate this site. No doubt they have other queries yo answer from other members throughout the world and all this takes time.. so patience will be required, just view it as training for that day we all meet that special person.. wink cool

I wouldn't expect any, if I were you.
My guess is that this site is a one-person effort, and he/she only takes a quick look around when he/she gets home from work.
I do not believe the site has any staff, moderators, administrators, or any other employees. It is just intended to run itself.
dunno

Yes thumbs up, thats what I thought as well as a newcomer and after partcipating in a forum. Of course you can just leave the forum or "go to sleep". But if you are seriously interested in something, putting honest questions, expecting to learn something, and than you have to face a mini-lobby of "opinion-leaders" who would'nt answer but just getting immediatelly personal, classifying or even insulting you, this may not be a reason to leave the forum. I wanted to stay in the forum to learn, to profit somehow, or maybe let others profiting of my thoughts. So I don't want to leave the forum, I just want to get reed of some well known... participants. So once again, I appreciate the idea to have the opportunity to (personally) block someone in a forum. I like some few forums and this is also the main reason to be here. Otherwise its easier to just leave CS and go for a drink wine and than "go to sleep"... maybe grin

Well maybe dunno, but on the other hand they have a lot lot lot of advertisings here, so I'm not sure if its "self-running". Most propably not, I think. wine

In the case of that poll, Mrrabbitoh & happy_wealthy are one & the same. It was his last hurrah as he flooded the forums 2 FULL pages at a time in some cases... and both profiles were deleted.(Along w/another profile he had under the same name, only w/photos in that one.)
But as you've seen, I reported that filthy poll days ago... and it's still there. As mrr., his own forum threads are still in the New Members section.

While there are thousands of members on this site(just click on the "Online now" button at the top... before you get to page 2, those who were just on page 1, are already there, or maybe even on page 3.) People are literally logging in every second, so I could see some things taking a while to sort through.

But that poll, & some other very obvious posts shouldn't take that long to get rid of. It's not like the poll has pages of posts, or any question of it being "inappropriate"(for lack of a better word).

And some people have gotten others banned within minutes of reporting them(when they shouldn't have been banned in the 1st place).

Appreciate your thread here.

Like someone said earlier, you will get short shift with trying to make new rules in this site, to suit yourself.

The mods have made it plain, several times, that we are here by THEIR grace and under THEIR rules, and if you don't like it you are free to go.

According to the mods, reporting people does not get them banned. Breaking site rules does.

This thread breaks site rules.

10. No bashing of this site or the moderators here. This is a free site...if you don't like the way things are handled here, you are as free to leave as you were to join.

23. Read the rules. Site offenders may be banned from posting or removed from site without notice or warning. Staff decisions are impartial and final. Don’t waste time or forum space complaining about them. No member has any authority or preference here.

"CS staff cares and respects our members. This is a quality, free site. Posting here is a privilege. Act accordingly!

If rules are not followed or complaints are received, your posts and/or profile may be deleted.
"

"By posting in the forums, you agree that you understand and will abide by these rules."wine
