property,status, beauty or her religion..which of course on one hand makes sense,specially since the stuff she brings in the marriage..still remains here stuff..and he still is the only one who has to provide..she can of course offer stuff to him...
we do have here what is called gold diggers which do marry for money or status..but I think most people here marry because they fell in love and are marrying for materalistic reasons..

Islam is clear on the kind of wife you should be seeking. The Prophet (saws) said: "A woman may be married for four reasons: for her property, her status, her beauty, and her religion; so try to get one who is religious, may you be blessed." This specifically defines just what kind of a companion we are seeking, for if we marry her for anything other than her religious piety, our marriage is bound to fall into misery. True, beauty and charm is hard to resist, yet beauty does not last forever and does not guarantee you her obedience and religiousness. Financial status is dynamic, and so is worldly status, yet religion strongly establishes a household, and it may be that through your intention of marrying her for her religion, the rest is given to you anyway.

I am a muslim ,i born in a Muslim family ,i have read all about the islmic laws and religion.The prophet of islam is the leader of Muslims World and the Islamic laws are perfect by all angles ,The Holy prophet told us the truth and include the word beauty and the beauty is a connection to love(read my previous post).The status of Mr Obama is very impressive so it means status definatly has a great value in the world .Islam is clear on the kind of wife you should be seeking.
