My theory is that those, who just disappear without a word, like to think they make it easier on the girl, when in fact they are just making it easier on themselves. It gets them out of having to face tears and questions...

keep busy, find other things to occupy your time.....make a concious effort to not think about him......if hes ignoring you and wont answer you then hes just not interested any more.....there is nothing you can do to change that.

Those, who do that, seem blissfully ignorant of the fact, that this approach hurts more, because it leaves you guessing and questioning yourself. Or maybe they just don't care enough, who knows...
