I've posted here before about the problems around single parenting/ separated parents. I recently read a written debate between John Waters and Niall Crowley, the then CEO of the Equality Authority. It gives a good perspective on the stance of the state on fathers and men for that matter.

i started to read it and then got to thinking i think men need to help themselves - they have their issues about opening up and talking about what they need whether it be health, education, their personal lives etc because many are too proud to say they have problems. They are the hunter gatherers who are the providers for their families - once that role is challenged they feel a sense of failure and ignoring it is better than dealing with it.

Y'kno I cant decide if i luv him or hate him. Admire his passion and dedication.....but think theres a terrible want in him...and a shocking blind spot....probably due to being hurt in the past..

hmmmmm he can be such a contadiction....has on one hand a very romantic view of women singular but on the other hand,a misogynist filter regarding women plural.....hell of a challengelaugh

The general held view of the feminist quarter who have a vested interest in discrediting his words.

His point that the Equality Athourity put more effort into the rights of Gay Parents, than they do into the rights of biological Fathers is without question. The link below is the findings of a lengthy study into Family courts in Ireland... carried out by a woman

Yeah, but the whole game changed last weekend.... and the government will Listen. This isn't a battle between men and women, its a battle between men and the state... and this time the state will lose... at great expense to the taxpayer

wink now word of warning to you B the last guy fell for me on here, has taken time out to mend is broken heart (lurker) he is devasted and may need to be hospitalised, though needed that before he fell in love with me (oh and he never even met me)
