amahlala: What can I say? No excuse for poor writing skills...

I can try to blame it on lack of caffeine....yeah that works!

I have traveled through Canada, lovely places. I have lived in Micronesia (Ponape and Kosrae), I have lived and traveled through many states in the US. I hope one day to travel through outside of the United States.

Paraguay was the first country I visited, my first time out of Argentina.
Bolivia looks very indian and also poor.
Uruguay with looks in fact like another Argentinean province to me.
Chile is actually the best organized country of the region. But my heart is with Brazil. I love its beaches and its people so much. I have been in Brazil 8 times.

TallPete: .......this is because many English go to france and do not make any effort to speak the langauge. So I agree with the French attitude towards the English. If they see you make the effort they have always been really friendly and helpful.

Couldn't agree more mate. I found the local people to be incredibly sincere and welcoming. And all because i was speaking in their language. I had all my family trying too. All it needs is a little confidence and just have a go. The local restaurant owner was so impressed with my french she bought an English phrase book just to say thank you. I thought that was the ultimate compliment personally.

It costs nothing to learn a few phrases and it certainly makes a big difference. I don't understand why some people travel abroad. They can be so ignorant. I don't blame the French for their attitude either.
