I know we all want to be safe but what is normal? coffee or a drink..both is a safe and familer place though.

I stay away from the pub scene for a first date.......coffee is much safer.

I think its best to meet in the daytime in a public place,, a coffee or arrange to go for a walk and a chat to see how you get on, you get to see what each other look like in daylight and if you like the person in the flesh,, if the date goes well arrange a second date,, don't agree to go hiking in the mountains or camping in the wilderness until at least date five as by that time you should have come to the conclusion whether or not the person is of an upstanding character and trustworthy nature..

I think actcually the coffee durning the day time is the best you can see the true person then no beer goggles and stuff like that .....
