silentspring: Especially since the beds too are made of ice, I have not been there myself but know people who has and they say it is an amazing experience in color and shape and warm although everything is ice, even the bar and the barstools!!!! Not the Orchestra though

It must be unconfortable to play the metals in that cold weather!

Some musicians are divos and here it has happened that they prefer not to perform because of the cold weather. I remember one whom was supposed to do a solo with the flaute and he said no. Here gets cold some days in winter.

lifeisadream: in °C
minimun average Temperature for
December 6.9
January 6.3
February 6.5

But we can have -12 °C or even lower temperatures for some hours and in some years (rare event) we have had some snow. This year we had some in January.

This is because it is a high altitude city and the data is form the coldest place.

Hard to grasp, snow in Mexico for some reason. I guess it melts away swiftly, I also believe you do not welcome it. I have never been to Mexico but it has a warm sound to it, I happen to think the same way about Sibiria and we all know that is not to be true.

Right now we have high walls of snow on the sides of the roads, it is -15C, I live almost as south as you can get. Up north in Lappland they have -35C. So plenty of running noses.

Most of Mexico has a warm weather but in winter the north gets cold and I am in a north city.
In the middle or the south of Mexico is terribly warm in the summer, so I visit my home town (in the middle) only in winter time because of the heat in summer with a high humidity can be uncomfortable but I do enjoy any weather!

Thank you for the photos, oh my, what a beautiful country. How will we ever find time and economy to see all the beauty in this world that we want and yearn to view?

The Edward Jame's Surrealistic Garden is fabolous, have you been there?

To make things easier for us, always know that you if you want to come to visit Sweden are free to be my guest while you are here. This is a wonderful way to connect with people, make friends and give more possibilities to make that special dream a little less hard to reach, offering free bed and breakfast, right?

Now I am hooked on Mexico too, the waterfalls are gorgious, how in the world can I prior one country from the other?

Thank you again, a wonderful experience.hug hug

silentspring: Hi Tulafel, I read your post about the Icehotel, it is in Sweden, the most north you can get. Lappland, Jukkasjervi among the Samer, as I think are very much alike the American Indians, at least their living situation over the years.

lifeisadream: I would love to go there but with company (Romeo)

Perhaps we should charm some gentleman living in Northern Sweden and invite ourselves to him on our way to the ice hotel. Just as a plan B… (sounds like a plan…)

Yes, I have been there, that Garden is impressive but more impressive all the work he did in Mexico.

The pictures were taken by me except for a very few that are my daughter's from places where I have visited as well.

I do thank you very much for your invitation and Yes I would love to and the same from here, as I have offered yo you before.
