I'll probably be lynched for this, but I have to say while I wouldn't necessarily rule out dating a farmer, I'd prefer not to.
As someone brought up in a small town, I was always aware of the gulf between urban and rural. While I'm not exactly a million miles away from countryside, living in the town, farms were those smelly places you passed on the bus and tried to breathe in until you got beyond them. I knew nothing about farming and never wanted to know anything about it.
I had a lot of farmers in my class in secondary school and while they were all perfectly sound, they just were totally obsessed with tractors and cattle and all these other things I had no comprehension of. Farming isn't a job, it's a vocation and those who follow it are totally obsessed with it. That's fine, nothing wrong with that, I just don't think I could commit to that lifestyle. Now I know female farmers are few and far between so it's kind of irrelevent to me, but I don't think I could hack living anywhere that wasn't walking distance from a small town, living in the country would drive me demented. So for those reasons, while I wouldn't rule it out on principle, it would be highly unlikely.

Living in the country side is great, fresh air, peace and quiet and being away from the usual low lifes you get in towns and cities and if you need to go to a town for anything, you can drive simple as that, Rural life is much healthier

im a townie too but i should have been born out in the country, theres not enough green around me and yeah full time farming is tough going especially dairy with the milkings etc but i wouldnt rule anyone out because of what they do for a living. id also gladly help them too, smelly farms dont bother me though i may have to draw the line at pig farming cause that smell just sticks to you no matter what.
i have been told on occasion that i am a little strange though

I don't drive, but even if I did, I'd just prefer not to live deep into the country. It's just a personal preference.

I wouldn't rule anyone out by occupation either, it just really wouldn't appeal to me. Just being honest.
but u still need to drive every where, I live on my parents farm. middle no where for 2 yrs, no internet signal or 02 signal..only Vodafone... to dangerous to walk to the local pup. most local pup has mini shop inside... 25 mins drive to nearest town, also healthy, and hard work , lucky folks got spring water from there well, At the moment i live in a small village... just 1 mile outside..
