Nothing's wrong with the UK or Germany dear. Just they are a bit away from the mediterannean climate and mentality to which I am accustomed... And apart from that, I don't speak a word of german!

The US is not third world dear! Africa is.

I see all of Europe now on an equal footing. There are of course the language problems. Nobody could understand a word of English when I visited the Czech Republic, or Bulgaria. Just imagine trying to work there.

I hope that if I ever fell in love with someone like that, I would not have to leave whatever I have behind me to start life in another country. There is a reason for saying this too. In my country, I know what I have, a house or two, etc. and what I can afford to give to my loved one. In another country I would not know what I can afford to give. This does not mean that we would not visit her country as often as possible. I just hope that she would not object to my suggestion though.
