Mardi Gras ( Archived) (22)

In the USA, New Orleans Louisiana, Is the top State for the Mardi Gras Celebration.. Tho Many other Countries Celebrate it too...
I Lived There for Many Years, when I was Younger, and been to Many Parades and Parties there, as it was COMMON there...

I have some family there, and Many Friends that were from long ago...(out of touch) A Man I worked for when I was 16 ( kinda like a Dad)called me the other night and said, when ya coming down here to visit, I said I would Love to come and Visit,
He said How about coming during the Mardi Gras...So I am Considering Going there ( no promises) but wondered if anyone else has been their, or planning to go there for the Mardi Gras...
Going Alone isnt allways a good Idea....Tho I am Familuar with the Lifestyle, People, Its a Wild Place During the Mardi Gras...

Also Open to Hear Your Experiences of the Mardi Gras..
( it is actually a Catholic Celebration of the French)
and not actually my Beliefs, Tho Kinda Neat to Experience it anyway...

What are Your Experiences? And Do You Plan to Attend and Mardi Gras Celebrations, and where?elephant party boogie

Yeah I bet it was bad, my grandparents got the tail end of katrina so I went and helped them out. I felt really bad for all the people that moved to texas after it, because then ike hit, and I know it was bad because I lived in the middle of it everything was gone.

I think to many people were still in shock for it to be its usual party.

Some of my ancestors were from N'awleans. I would like to go there in the off season. I would buy books, junk, antiques and eat lots and lots of little donuts. Then, I would do some grave yard tours, do the "put the red X on Marie Laveau's grave - thing, visit a Voodoo woman or a Hoodoo woman or whatever, get a Greavy put on my enemies, do the Ann Rice tour and the Haunted N'awleans tour eat some more donuts, buy some more crap, and come home with a buttload of pics for Myspace.

Many Christian Street Ministries go to Mardi Gras to seek out the Salvation of Lost Souls.

It's definitely a city of darkness.

devil Rules @ Mardi Gras!

I am not into that kind of partying!!!
