Emigrating is a big decision and a pretty tough one to have to make. I did it myself 15 years ago and it wasnt easy. There are specific recruitment agencies for construction, so i would start there, (google is genius) plus use all your contacts, friends, old work colleagues etc, even if you havent had contact with them in ages, they might have some tips or leads for jobs.
Good luck

I am heading far far away too mate, Melbourne. I am a QS and have just returned from there after a working holiday visa. Best visa for under 30's as no sponsorship req. I am returning on a sponsorship 457 visa within 5 weeks hopefully. The best info for visa types is on the Australian Immirgration Dept website. Also for jobs you have everything from Hayes construction to Gumtree just google the hell out of it. Pomsinoz is a cracking website for all your emmergrating Q's. Good luck if you intend to go.

Bye Bye ireland
