My daughter has got very interested in the family tree and I wondered if anyone had any ideas of the best way to go about working on one.

She has started to look around sites and has gathered some information. But it seems very costly, not just to join a site but the cost of individual certificates which verify facts seem to be over £20 for each one.

Any useful suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Hy theer my son had a project at school, he asked me and his mother our knowledge of our family trree then traced it back further byasking Grandparents, great aunts and uncles are a good source of information if you can get the birth or marriage certifficat for great grand parents goit will say who ther parents are and so on. eventually it will cost some money but do a little at a time and ata pace you can afford. hope this is a help Tomcathandshake

Hiya SirenLydia, I too was interested in this not so long ago and found many sites only allow you to search but charge you for the information. If you know names and dates, you might find the Registrar of Births, Deaths and marriages might be a little more affordable.

I bet he will do great, they can't, or shouldn't expect miracles from an 11 year old bless him
