Not really a veg but try growing so aloe vera.. Done it two years ago and its easy.. When u break open the leaves its full of a kinda creamy oil which feels great on ur skin on hot days to cool u down .. It works great on sunburn too :-D

As for growing vegetables as per the OP, I have a drawer full of seed packets that have grown old and weary waiting for me to plant them. I love the sound of SDBs cherry tomato plant though. thumbs up

i grow endive, pack choi, red and green lettuce, dandelions, green beans, cress and tomatoes for my animals and we eat them too. gonna give carrots a go this year too
