went to see the exhibition today in the rds and it was great. anyone else gone to it or planning on going?

its eh 16euro i think but well worth it if you have any interest in ancient egypt. you get an audio guide to go around it in your own time and theres loads of stuff on show, replicas of course but still really good. my parents and sister saw the originals in egypt when they were there but i always regretted not getting to see them when i was there

hmm... that's a bit on the expensive side. Not even sure how this Tutankhamun is...

he was the child Pharaoh from the 18th dynasty in ancient egypt whos tomb was found by howard carter in eh 1907 i think, its the only tomb ever found untouched by tomb robbers as far as i remember

Oh great that heard from someone who went to it. Planning on bringing the kids, but wasn't too sure what would be like, now I know smile thanks

Aadheen: Oh great that heard from someone who went to it. Planning on bringing the kids, but wasn't too sure what would be like, now I know thanks
we broguht my 11 yr old nephew but he got the adults audio instead of the kids one and it was quite grown up so he lost interest as we went around, took us maybe and hour and a half to get the whole way round but there were heaps of people at it and lots of kids too, defo a good day out

well its on till july i think and you book it by the hour, last in is 6pm and it closes at 7.30 not sure what time it opens at though

salanky: we broguht my 11 yr old nephew but he got the adults audio instead of the kids one and it was quite grown up so he lost interest as we went around, took us maybe and hour and a half to get the whole way round but there were heaps of people at it and lots of kids too, defo a good day out

Ah great, my youngest is learning about ancient Egypt at the moment in school so dying to see it.

iv always been into it and was looking forward to going when we were in egypt but there was a bombing while we were there and we were allowed out of our resorts so that put paid to that idea....ill just have to go back grin

That's a shame. I didn't get to see it either when I was in Egypt, plan on going back too
