Antjo39: I am joking with my mate BB-snickers, so don't think your stuff is so serious.
I assume you're joking most of the time. It's only when you say something that obviously was given some thought that I engage you in serious discussion. It happens sometimes.

Ok buddy, you are not as important as you think. Get the message, let alone a judge of anything. Serious discussion, okay...it would be good to see something beyond your variant of the Cartesian rule: I think it that way therefore it exists.
By the way, you are always discussing on behalf of the big companies. The big bosses do not even thank you, they are enjoying the big money, and they do not even waste their time learning that they have big admirers and defenders amongst the blue-collar herd. It is just a sort of law in human life, the Lords and their servants.
Antjo39: the Cartesian rule: I think it that way therefore it exists.
I did like this reference because that's all the folks on the "I hate all corporations, big business and capitalism in general" have. It's all circular logic. They believe it's so and because they believe, it MUST be so.
Tried getting some facts on this sort of thing yesterday.... NOTHING. ZIP NADA NOTHING. Beware the specious political platitudes for they are the sign of an empty mind.
Hey.... Auntie, how would you like to elaborate on the wonderful green technology that Big Oil has kept us from having? Maybe you want to support that with real facts. That would be much more compelling than pointing to an array of bobblehead doll look alikes all nodding in agreement with their mouths open drooling a little bit.
Antjo39: Promoting thinking? interesting... what's common sense? The foundations of your own beliefs? That is your common sense, and certainly I have a big problem to assimilate it.
common sense. You can't assume you have a solution to a problem if the means to implement it isn't practical or possible.
That's common sense.
If the progressives of the world would think through all the grand crap they believe is a good idea, maybe they'd see what's wrong with their picture.

Black and white thinking? that is your specialty. I never said that they hijack the new technologies or anything like that. I can see how flexible your logic and Weltanschauung are. New technologies still have a long way to go...what hte big guys are doing about that? uhmmmm... I am not sure now, but all I know is that your "reasons" why they do not do this or that are just speculations that forget about the economics behind any action of a corporation.
Are you learning to speculate from the so called conspiracy theories?
raphael118: please do not refer to the gentleman antjo as a progressive, John Kennedy was not a communist.
good point, but the communists have hijacked the word. That's how it goes. As soon as people realized "liberal" meant communist, they hijacked "progressive". I don't know what they're going to use now that everyone knows that they've hijacked "progressive" as their latest and greatest euphemism.

liberal- open in your views, tolerant conservative- restrictive in your views, less tolerant communist- public ownership of all property
three very loaded words that actually have simple meanings when used properly

Yes, and NEVER used properly any more. And that was an intentional corruption of the words and it's been musical chairs with them.
What we generally think of today as "conserative" is actually more the clasic liberal model than anything else.
What we think of as "liberal" today isn't open in views or tolerant at all. They have a very strict agenda and a very narrow mind about it and the only way that "liberal" actually applies is when we're talking about their attitude when it comes to spending everyone else's money.
Communist... that's a bad word. No one wants to claim that any more. But if you look at the CPUSA.ORG (Communist Party USA) mission statement, you'll see that it could have come right off the home page of the democratic party.
