This is the way I am in real life. When people have problems I will sit down with them and listen to them and other times I'll joke around and hav a few laughs.

People don't always see themselves as others do. We also tend to be on good behavior when 1st meeting someone new. Ever hear Billy Joel "The Stranger"? Sad but for many the song is a reality.
I try to be just me wherever I am. Played all the headgames and tried to impress people when I was much younger. I like who I am and most people with a good self-concept are themselves or very close to it. I have met on internet people who are the same as in person, people who are nothing like on sites too.

I am told I am a lot different. (In a nice way). Many people expected a stand-offish person, who was a bit dour.
Very not me at all, so the impression I give here must be a lot harsher than I am in reality, (however that happens).
I can be a bit bashful/shy in reality, though just as chatty.
