really Although I grew up in a house where hurling was a religion, I was always more into music and of course flying.

That's like us in West Cork. It's football all the way. I won't say we've no hurling, but it's certainly secondary. Apart from Bandon, all the main towns in West Cork play football to a higher level and even they only play hurling at the lower intermediate grade.
So I was brought up on football but always liked hurling too. A fine sport, just can't get AS enthused about it as football.
