Hi to all the Irish people in this forum..I am only posting this to show proof of Bin laden death after another cs member told me about all the bashing the U.S government received..I have a link that proves the Pakistan government has held Bin Ladens wife and children who witnessed his death..Here it is

It totally saddens me to read all the bashings in any forums..I am from a European family who moved to the states and I was born in the U.S..We have millions of Irish immigrants who live here, some I have made friends with, and I personally dont understand why anyone would hate a country where they have possible relatives living in?
Anyways, I wont post another thread in this forum after this..I only wanted to show the proof of Pakistans holding the family and the facts..Obviously Obama is not lying about this and I seriously doubt Pakistan is lying about holding Bin Ladens family either..Peace to all and no I dont cheer the death of Bin Laden..I only hope the world will become a safer place for ALL of us to live in some day..

It's not about hating America. I don't hate America. Now, I don't particularly like America and I don't want to live there, other than maybe an odd trip to visit relatives or friends, but I don't hate it.

What people hate is US foreign policy, which, since the death of FDR, has been based on imperialist aggression and trying to control the world.

They helped to instil many dictators in the past and while they may have captured Saddam and killed Osama, don't forget they also armed them to the teeth.

I still don't believe Osama was much of a threat to the world, he seems to me to have been little more than an angry loner who came out with ridiculous soundbytes/ Will murdering him, make the world safer? Well, as much as I don't believe he was the military mastermind the US government say he was, He obviously had some support so I would say retalliation is inevitable, though on what scale is another matter entirely.

You have a president who put you and your fellow citizens at risk in order to make short term political gains. Does that make you proud? Seriously?

This is cut and paste to try and explain why America does not do itself a favour.

It is not surprising – but needs to be noted – that bin Laden was killed in a gunfight. The order was to kill not capture, even in a face-to-face encounter, which this apparently was. We thus forfeited the right to parade his excesses to the world at large – including to the thousands of Muslims whose family members have been killed by al-Qaida attacks. We ran, knowingly, from the chance to hold him in custody, and to punish him by due process and make him account to the world for what he has done.

I stayed up too late last night reading the Bin Laden thread and while I found the majority of posts interesting, as usual it turned into Schoolyard tactics. Personal attacks from one member to another totally unrelated to the thread title. Fair play to the few who stated the obvious on this...

While I am still undecided on the whole. I would have liked to have seen him interrogated and feel his victims and their families would gain more justice from the whole truth on his part in 9/11 and other terrorist acts.

In saying that I do believe he is dead, weather he died last week or last year we will never know without evidence. But proof is needed, we cannot be expected to believe all they tell us with no evidence. I sincerely hope the back lash does not cost any more lives.

Killing Bin Laden changes nothing. If anything, it will make him martyr. They should have taken him alive and left him to rot.

The Russian are now claiming that they have killed another top Al Qaeda militant in military operation in chechnya today.

The only problem with the war on terror is that any country/Leader can now go attack/murder/kill anyone/country they so wish.... All under the heading of "War on Terror"............ America have now done what Israel do... braek international laws and borders to do as they wished.... However if someone seeks revenge and does the same the west will cry foul
