But I guarentee you that Liverpool never had over 65% possession in all their games in the European cup on the way to the final! This Barca team is special and can only be admired.
Please don't try to latch on to their shirt tails and try to compare teams of the past to them because is sounds silly and begrudging.

Liverpool had a good side from 1973 to 1984 when they won 4 of those European Cups and a UEFA Cup. But those wins were over 11 years and the side changed constantly.
This Barca side has won evey competition they entered this year. They have scored a record amount of goals and swpt every side out of their way. They have shown themselves to be miles ahead of every other team.
No Liverpool side ever won evey comp they entered! In 1984 they probably came closest with the League, League Cup and European Cup. But they certainly did not sweep every side out of their way that year. They only won the European Cup on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
You are of couse allowed to compare but I notice you are comparing them to a side you support team of the past

And just because I was not alive does not mean I can't be disgusted by a joke about 1958! I was not alive for many tragedies of the past but it does not mean I would joke about them!

I support Man U and in my opinion they are the best club side I have ever seen. The way they keep the ball for fun, the slick passing even when you put them under pressure. If you could get the ball off them you might be able to get at the back 4....But getting the ball is the problem.
I have never seen United dominated like that and hop I never see them dominated like that again.
