I totally agree with you. Have not been on the forums for long but there are a few users that keep posting up stupid threads. Don't think I will be sticking around for long.

But it's only a matter of time before the threads get too over the top.

12 pages so far of people all having a pop at the OP for asking a question that he may actually want to know the answer for.
People forget that cultures are different worldwide, and what's normal in one place, could be a serious taboo in another.

So, who's to question as to what he asks? Shall we start to open a suggestion box, and a thread is selected to be posted on the hour every hour by a board of nominated forum members?

Would that even make people happy.

A forum is what the userbase make of it, to put it bluntly.

Some good points but I have to say that the posts from these '3' users all seem to be aimed at winding people up and in one case is clearly setting out to target certain individuals. In my opinion thaat is just pathetic on their part on no amount of defence can justify that. I suspect that at least 2 of the 3 are the same person if not all 3. If people want to put up with their tedious threads then so be it. personnaly I think all 3 are complete w*****S who are destroying what should be a fun and light hearted forum.

But, on the other hand. They could be saving someone having to ask that question. People are afraid to ask questions, as they can see the outcome.

I only picked today's thread as an example, it could have been any number of them on the boards that had potential to be a serious and genuine topic, but it seems that they were deemed invalid by the masses and ridicule occurred.

Have to wonder sometimes, who's trolling who? I heard /b/ closed down and moved the members here earlier. dunno

No, you are probably right. There is often peaks and troughs. It sometimes gets better, sometimes worse.... then better again.

Isn't life like that?

If people want to ask questions I am sure they will, I also appreciate that english is not a first language for some users so the questions will be poorly formed but that is not an excuse for provocative, offensive posts.

One user has clearly targated another CS user in his posts in what appears to be a direct attempt to ridicule and humiliate the individual.

Everybody has a right to express an opinion and ask questions, when this is a direct attempt to embarasse or humiliate certain people there is no justification and this is happening. I have no time for these individuals and it saddens me that people try to defend them without seeing what is really happening. They do not care about the forum or its members, they have their own agenda and are happy to drag people down with them.
