Hi , unfortunately it appears to be common practise for some parents to allow their little precious to play such games , they seem to think that by limiting their kids will impede their confidence and personalities as they grow up . I know these parents exist . I seem to have wandered off the point a bit . I was listening to 104FM last night,for anyone who may not be familiar with it,its a phone in programme on TV South,a Dublin Channel.Parents only response to the debate was "its just a game" or "sure it keeps the child quiet".They seemed to be totally either ignorant or unaware of the violence involved.As our brains do not fully develop until early 20's (http://www.actforyouth.net/resources/rf/rf_brain_0502.pdf)
i would feel children this young can not process this in proper context.On the other hand if a child so young had any mental issues/tendencies towards violence which may not be picked up until later years,wouldn't this have a serious impact and input???? I mean i've seen the kids who watch wrestling act it out to the point where thye will hurt other kids ,to them its just play and ok,so whats to stop them doing same with some of what they see in these games?

For those parents to plead ignorance to the violent content of their kids games is just taking the easy way out I think . If they bothered to monitor what the game portrays then they would see the age rating very clearly displayed on the outer case .
