Ladies would you be willing to be an egg donor for your sister?
Gentlemen how would you feel if your wife/girlfriend want to be an egg donor for her sister?

I read an article about this in a Sunday paper last year and the conversations it provoked amongst my friends were very interesting.

Basically one woman had told her sister during a late night chat that if ever needed she would step up. Well that day came and the woman declined because her husband thought it was too weird. The sister never spoke to the brother in law again and it put a huge strain on the relationship between the two sisters.

A friend on mine has a little girl - think she is about 8-9 now. Anyway she used a surrogate to have her - her sister! Not sure if I would be willing to go that far for my sisters!

I think it would feel odd but if that were
the only way to become a father with
someone you love then why not .

You say you'd have no problem with it and fair paly to you for that but could you cope with regularly seeing a child which was technically 50% your wife's?

that is a big ask, but if i understand lara's question right its just an egg donation not a surrogate pregnancy like there's a big difference there conversing

I would absolutely 100% do it!! I do not want anymore children but that is my choice. Some people do not have that choice to make so if i could help anyone i would.

I have already agreed to help a friend of mine in that way thumbs up Now Hopefully for her we wont need to go down that road .

but its an egg your giving, not a fetus or a child, like its a diff story being a surogate going tru the whole pregnancy, giving birth etc nd then giving the child away, but at the moment your prob flushing millions of egg's down the loo, so if it could make your sister/friend etc the happyest person in the world why not give em one? confused dunno

I have already told my sister I would do it for her no problem seeing as I don't want to have kids. My sister and I are so similar that I think it would be quite easy just to see myself as Aunty. So I hope any future partner/husband of mine doesn't have a problem with that!blues
