As Sweden,-which falsely,is seen as a great example of democracy,-now decides to export this very idea to,as the report calls it,-"repressive countries",-first& foremost in Africa and ME,-one has to wonder...

Much money´s gonna be spent to increase "freedom of speech" in many parts of the world,-but not back home,-where the trend is the reverse....

SIDA,-a taxfinanced charity organization decides to spend huge amounts of money to different orgs. such as Freedom House and Civil Right Defenders,-and to help internet based news sites and bloggers to bring forth the "truth"....

Funnily enough,-that´s not the case in Sweden,-in contrary....

However,-it has nothing to do with Sweden,-as this is a wellknown fact throughout the West,-to "export" Western values, ideas and democracy,-to less democratic nations....

Seems like a great idea,-but is it?

Critics,(and they´re quite many),-points to the fact,-that this a new form of colonialism,-a colonialism gone digital,-and that it is an encroachment to any sovereign nation....

While other criticises West for not trying to help and develop democracy movements in great parts of the world....

A matter of "damned if you do,damned if you don´t".....

So what would the best solution be,to please everyone?

Does West really have responsibility to help and encourage great parts of the world, and facing the danger of being called colonialists?

Personally,-I do believe that the Western way of democracy is great,-of course,-there´s much I oppose,-such as restrictions and censorship in media,-and I don´t feel obliged to help anyone else....

Wouldn´t it be better if everybody where left alone,-and trying to develop their "own way",-without the interference of West?

After all,-we live in a cultural relativistic time,-so why should Wests way be the solution.....

It simply means,-that there´s no difference between cultures,-and if there isn´t,-then everyone should be happy, and not in need of democratic "help".....,especially not Western...

No,-my opinion is,-keep the money,-and invest them back home instead,-so then no-one can be called colonialist..

Yes, we are damned if we do and damned if we don't in MANY areas, no matter what the issue; Free speech, contraceptives, food aid, etc. One side of me says that we should support those who are repressed in their home countries, while the other sees that this may endanger and undermine the message of reformers in those countries.

I would say,we in the West, have found ""our own way"" without an outside help,so i think is better for them to find their ""own way"" without West's interference.
