If you give up too easy, you will lose. If you make a wrong decision today, you will lose tomorrow. If you get involved with the wrong people, you will end up messing your life. There’s a tough life waiting for you . Remember, people are not going to help you unless you help yourself. try anything and everything at least once.. People will be happy to laugh at you when you fail, but hold your head high and try again.. You are at an age where you still are not adult, but you are heading towards it and you as teenager may not like your parents interfering in your life. But just remember we are always there to guide you in all ways during this time. You can consider us your friend and we can share these wonderful moments of being teenager together.
Here are a few pointers which I believe may help you for the coming years which I have unfortunately learned the hard way. Theres realy is no need to be so shy and retiring....it does nothing for you, enjoy youself and let loose a little more, be more assertive too and stand your ground, dont let people walk all over you, you'll gain more respect that way, I promise! Be comfortable with yourself and understand that you are unique and great at what you do, dont let anyone tell you otherwise.
Experience more places, do more things, expand your horizons, it'll all stand to you and open your eyes, Carlow, Ireland.....isnt the world, make sure you get out there and live a little!!!
But above all be true to yourself, dont change that for anyone and be happy in whatever it is you end up doing, when you decide what it is you want to do! Love it!!
oh where do i start don't start smoking listen in school & go to college , save for a rainy day there are plenty coming , mammys right men are evil stay away from them till your 60 never turn down a holiday go on everyone you can choose a career you love doing as the days are very long try everything once and again if you like it there is no need to be so shy people like you for who you are and those who don't are not worth worrying about follow your wild side a little more and tell your family that your love them more
irish84: dont start smoking and choose your friends carefully and dont start drinking
a few more things pay attention in school dont feel you should listen to others just to fit in listen to your parents they are normaly right dont be afriad of making mistakes , be yourself even if you are different try and not be so quiet and dont worry what others think off you

Dear 16 year old me, don't do a damn thing different. The experiences you're going to have over the next 14 years will be fantastic, amazing and also devastatingly heartbreaking. There are times you will wonder if it's ever gonna feel good again, suck it up and just get on with it. Because the experiences of who you are at the age of 16 will make you the woman you will be at the age of 30. Just be proud of who you are. Make your mistakes and enjoy making them but learn from them.
