I logged into my Yahoo Messenger last night and there were a number of new IMs there waiting for me to read . Most included links . All IMs had been posted to me by people on my friends list . I hesitated to open them and searched the contents on the net . The new virus copies your contact list as soon as it is clicked and your friends will also receive the virus . All contaminated IMs carried a short text and Emotes with them . Linkes were invites to see photos , to read global issues etc .
I repeat contaminated links appears to have been posted to you by your friends . Take care in opening your e-communications . I am now receiving daily updates regarding viruses . It has never been this bad .

Thank you. I, as of late have got a lot of emails myself from strange places.
I was told once to add a false name on top that was all "a's @" all "a's". That it sometimes takes them from the top. I really don't know this, but I did it anyway.
Professor can probably help you with this. He's great at this.

There is no virus client-side that will copy your contact list, there are URLs that when posted in the right circumstances and are embedded that will give up your login name and password, however. I am quite curious as to the information you have regarding this, please mail me with effected URLs and information you have - I'll help get them shut down if they're found to be a threat in any fashion.

Thanks,

Rich
