gininitaly: Yep I have, 2 boys... didn't sleep for about 6 years there... fortunately they do outgrow it... around 26.

But maintaining a sense of humor is vital (in between the moments you want to strangle them).

mine is 19.. gives me constant sleepless nights too; up to the age of 16 he was the best kid you could wish

i think the hardest part is for us parents to learn to give them space and step back

In response to: Have you raised kids and gotten that far w/o killing them?
To teen age??

What is a memory you can share that can show us that it was all worth it

What about a memory of a day that made you think one of you would not survive it?

It is HARD

I thought long a hard about this - "teenagers are worth it" - depending which scale they are at - early 13 or or late 18-19
14 -17 buy a straight jacket, you are in for a rocky road - they strut their stuff, they are rude and ignorant but they are still "minors" they still have to have boundaries, and rules, but you must also be flexible - COMMUNICATION is the key - understanding what kind of peer pressure they have... negiotate.... yes we were all teenagers once, but if they knew right from wrong, are comfortable in their own skin, they DO grow up to be solid responsible citizens, than any parent would be proud to say "that's my child"gift gift

forgot to add, that whenever I take the girls out to dinner, visit with friends, family or maybe just out shopping, they are well-mannered, polite, and courteous to others.

So yes, I'm proud to say "those are my girls" hug
