Just wandering? I have a small group of paranormal investigaters. We plan to go this weekend and do some ghost hunting. Wanted to know if there are others who do this and the like.
For those who don't know what it is;
Ghost hunting, is just that, looking for evidence of active ghost.
Investigating, Looking for a cause of a supposed haunting.

We take picture, EVP's, magnetic field test, and we are very skeptic before saying we found something. And do a whole lot more.

E-mail me and I'll give you some sites that will make your neck hairs stand up.

I have the paranormal in my home from time to time. My deceased fiance' "comes" to me via candles, turning tv off or changing channels, hiding things from me, etc. I believe that ghosts or spirits are all around us and I look forward to my fiance's visits.

YES I DO!!!!!!!!!!!

I once lived in a very very haunted house! My family didn't go public or anything with it...but we couldnt live there for long. We ended up selling the house to relatives...and they stayed there less then a year and moved out. That house is always for sale! Scary Crap!

Have you ever checked out Waverly Hills in Louisville? It is the old TB hospital and lots of tales about ghosts there.

I don't usually do this but, Get your camera out, turn you T.V. off. and make sure you haven't got any glare's from window' and the like. Take some snapshots. I feel the tv is his way to communicate with you. You may catch a photo of him. Good luck and remember, dead people can't hurt you....

ANother haunted building I've been in was at MSUM. The college is pretty old, but most buildings have been remodled or rebuilt. One particular building has been updated but pretty much left to its original. It is one of the oldest buildings, I think the 1st built at MSU. It has an auditorium, that has carvings around the stage and big old heavy curtains. Pretty actually, but they never use it much anymore...just for larger classes. I had one class there. It was scary, I always had a weird feeling there, and would hit sudden cold spots.

One day I had an essay I had to make up and drop off late at night in my professor's mailbox...I was in there alone, and had never been so scared.

A year after leaving MSU they had a paranomal study at MSU, and they local news covered it. They didn't find anything except for one building. THE SAME ONE I THOUGHT WAS HAUNTED! They got great pics of orb things, and "energy" levels, and I don't know what else. In the news, they had said the auditorium was most "haunted" of all!

Thanks for the advice....He does the candle thing more than anything else. When he was living, we had date night every Saturday night....we would go in our room, lock the door, light a candle and have wonderful quality time together. About a month before he died, he looked at the candle and said it kinda freaked him out that it was flickering....that it meant spirits were there. I told him that the fan was blowing on it...lol

After he died, I began lighting candles all the time. I will talk to him and ask if he is there....the flame will literally lay all the way over and then will flicker like someone is sprinkling water on it or something.....there is no air moving when this happens.

I'm not afraid....I want to truly believe that it is him. I know he would never, ever hurt me. I also know that if he could find a way, he would show me he is here at my side. His death truly devastated me and I truly want him around. I think some feel I'm truly crazy when I tell them about this. Also, the candle has been "blown" out a few times and not by a human or airflow!

No, wander if I can get that up here. Whats the station? I'll try it.

I brought this up because it's close to halloween, I do it all year long. Oct. thru Feb. is the best times for paranormal activities. I have to admit, I've had some good scares, ran like hell too. most of the time it's really cool.

(IMHO = 'if you want a different opinion, skip to the next post')

I took extra-mural evening classes for a few months, in Parapsychology, at Edinburgh University. (One of the few Universities to have a chair in Parapsychology).

Parapsychology applies scientific methods of testing a situation, to rule out normal occurrances. Once those tests are exhausted, then it's time to start asking whether or not anything supernatural is going on.

I read Fortean Times, and it seems the 'Fortean' perspective is not to apply any particular cause to an effect prematurely. So even if something supernatural -is- occurring, that doesn't mean it's 'the' supernatural source that -you- think it is, or the one that -it- is leading you to believe that it is. (People sometimes lie, so why wouldn't a supernatural being lie? Just coz you can see a used car salesman doesn't make him legit, and just coz a poltergiest is invisible, doesn't make it what/who it claims to be.)

I understand that death to mean nonexistence, and life to mean existence.
Angels (pure, or fallen) to be a separate species from Human.

I understand that evil angels 'spirits' (not ghosts, they were never human) to often immitate deceased human beings, proporting themselves to be the 'ghosts' of deceased human beings. Information (about a person) witnessed/gathered by a supernatural, would make it easy for them to 'reveal' secret information that supposedly a deceased person could only know.

So, while it is possible to measure supernatural activity; at most it only proves just that: that there's supernatural activity occurring. It doesn't prove the story that the 'supernatural car salesman' is selling to you is the truth...(esp when what they're doing is little more than replaying a vid-tape for you, or reading from a history book...but it doesn't mean that the are/ever were a human, much less the dead person that they are immitating).

Sure there's dangerous supernaturals out there, but I'm not interested in measuring or interacting with them...any more than I'd want to get in the ocean to measure or 'interact' with a Great White Shark!

At least a Shark only eats people for food, not out of cruelty (or exploiting/manipulating or misleading people).

I hear if you visit "Skinwalker Ranch" in the USA, you'll get more supernatural occurances than you bargained for.

But, as I've seen thru the mask, it holds no mystery or attraction for me. There's too much good in life, and I've got better things to do...than to be led around by evil spiritual beings who imitate dead people (as in 'no longer existing' people), in order to perpetuate the lie "you shall not surely die". The people who bought -that- line, -did- die.

Yes I believe in a hope of life. Ressurection.
But I understand that (until Ressurection) death is nonexistance, unconscious. Asleep. No dreams. Lights out.

When the ligths are put on again, it won'd be as a non-physical, pneumatic 'ghost'. No matter which charletan spirit claims to be a 'hitorical figure', or 'deceased relative' while exploiting the grief (and often money) of the bereaved.

Any suggestions on how I can communicate with him or be able to "see" him or "hear" him? I miss him so much and would love to learn more.
