It depends where I am. In Mexico a first date would be margueritas on the ocean, listen to some live music and a walk along the beach. If its a good date we would still be on the beach to watch the sunrise.
Here in Calgary I find the men lack imagination so its always a coffee, drink or boring dinner date.

No beaches in Calgary? Of course, if there were, they'd be too cold to go to. I like a picnic in a park idea. Stop off at Venus' favorite take-out place and go to a park and talk. Talking doesn't always need to be in words. Body language talks, too.

Just try to know the other person a bit better before asking her/him out (so you´ll have an idea of what she/he likes and dislikes) and make it spontaneous and special.
