Not sure if many people saw this on Ch.4 but was interesting to see just howm much this man had collected over the last 40yrs.. wow

It was good to see the local community assisting him and that he recognises the problem and, hopefully, he will be able to lead a normal life.. think its a series, so will wait and see how things progress, though it makes me feel better abouit my pile of ironing! laugh

I actually have too many model kits to build, I'm guessing 200, though I know friends who have much more.

Do you have any collections that are too large or are you still seeking more?? conversing Enjoy your Sunday.. cool

Hi Yash,many people suffer with O.C.D's all varying too.

David Beckham has a "tidy and neatening" O.C.D which he freely admits to.As for me ,I hate clutter so am nor a hoarder,and regularly downsiz.e the home and wardrobe.

Loathe shopping Yash. I only go shopping for clothes if and when I need to.

Due to an underactive thyroid I have put on weight so have had to go up a sizecrying

Being a Capricorn makes me a homemaker ,and my home is my castle,mostly neat and tidy ,and as I've got older minimalistic too,cuts down on the dusting.

Reminder,must speak to Leisure about this.laugh

Havnt looked at your link yet , but i personaly think these Doctors have a Label for all things these days .

O.C.D. Collecting things and cleaning ,i dont think is a condition .

But have got a friend with a bad case of O.C.D. {drives me crackers }

Will go home to see iff he locked his door properly , iff he doesnt go back its on his mind all day at various points .

Follow people in the kitchen to make sure cups are boiled before a cuppa ,making the excuse he doesnt like a hot cuppa in a cold cup ,, even does it with his Mrs ,,
Catch him with a hand down the sofa {think thats a comfort thing }
Always looking for praise and gets sleepless nites iff he gets a negative ..

Drives me crazey ,, but i suppose he has got a problem somewere .

Hi Gypsey, Thank you for replying and good to see you have control over the shopping aspect. As for cleaning, there is no harm in it and if it helps you, then that's fine cheering Now, exactly what stuff are we talking about when you know people have touched it/them wow uh oh conversing grin wink cool

There is something in it Jon as in the film you see, the man concerned filled a whole detached bungalow with everything, nothing was thrown out as it could serve a purpose in the future, as you will see in the footage, he even wanted to hold onto a broken umbrella for spares..

Thanks for telling us of your friend and I can only think his wife has been there to alleviate his actions, but does appear he could do with some assistance as it affects people around him.. just depends if he is willing to accept it or not... dunno

Have a good week.. cheers cool

Well i watched the Link , found it interesting .Although i had to register to gain access to it .

I dont think his Hoarding habbit was a major concern ,

But did take note that he said he only has 2 Boiled Eggs as his stapel daily diet .

I noticed he had the 2 boiled eggs on a tray ,but also 4 rounds of toast plus a box containing a Cake ,,

Are we going into the realms of this man being maybe a Compulsive Liar Syndrome Condition . rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing
