How's this for an opinion?

1) He is a a threat.
2) He has been given due process by the new government of his (now ex) people.
and 3) They will execute him by THIER laws they set.

Im more then ok with this outcome.

I think it's scary how some of you want to watch him die publicly. That's insane who wants to see people die? No matter who they are. What is our society coming too? Torture and whatnot? I know that Saddam is a horrible person who did awful unforgivable things, but if you torture him and make his death public that's only the beginning. Where does it stop? What about the next murderer that kills alot of people? Would we start torturing our prisoners in america? Maybe we could make some money, selling tickets to the death penalty. Watch people get fried, ABC could do a nice little interview right before they die. It would be like a reality show.....

You understand how propaganda works - people aren't going to want to watch him to just to fulfill some morbid view, I don't feel. If anything, they're going to want to make sure that it actually goes as he sentenced so he doesn't pull a magic act and re-appear 10 years from now as a few related to New York's purple gang / organized crime did.

I disagree.... if someone states that he should be tortured, how is that propaganda?

Everyone has a motive for what they say or do, in this instance they're trying to convey a message in order to support and spread their view on the subject at hand - that's what propaganda is.

You missed my point entirely. You can wish death and torture on someone, then just claim it's propaganda when someone asks you why you think such things. You want to televise his death, not so you can watch it, because "most people probably wouldn't" you just want to make sure he is dead. Unfortunately, I still don't entirely understand what you are saying.

There is NO "RIGHT" Way to do a wrong thing..

An "Eye for an eye" simply adds to blindness......we have enough of that..

What about all the western leaders/politicians that supportes saddam for those decades........ Are they without guilt???

Christ said: "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"

The Muslims have a saying..."Don't limp in front of the lame and deem it a kindness!"...

Oh yeh...the hippies: "Make Love, not War!"

and "Don't lay Your sh-- on me, Man!"

I refuse to wallow in the stench of the western powers failed social experiment that has taken place inIraq for the past few decades....
