May be ... love yourself, heal the emotional wounds from past relationships (lovers, friends, family, work colleagues), get your life to a place where you are happy, functioning well and at peace. Then you will know that even should the next relationship not work out, your whole life won´t be falling apart. The fear could then very well disappear.

When I have no one to share a special occasion with (like in the last 2 years and since all my family lives in different countries) I invite friends and a few acquaintences over for a party and tell them to bring a friend.
The rule is everyone has to bring whatever they´re gonna drink and 1 dish.
I provide the place, plates, glasses, cutllery, napkins couple of bottles, a couple of dishes and music.
It brings people together, everyone get to taste all sorts of different foods and everyone has a ball. AND it´s possible on a low budget!!!
Honest True!!! No need to be on one´s own!!!
