Spoilt public sector who have it much easier than the rest of us.
Bunch of workshy scum. They should try shift-work in a factory or minimum wage on the high street - with less holidays, pay, sick days, conditions and zero pension - then they'd know what a hard life is.
It's a pity there are no real trade unions - that is private sector trade unions -, the real working class hate many in the public sector and would personally put down this protest of the leeches.
How dare they strike against the rest of us now, their demands should be met by machine gun fire.

Left & Right has nothing to do with it.
It's an absolute fact that people working in the private sector are having it far tougher than those in the public sector. Another fact is that New Labour inflated conditions & pensions in the public sector at the expense of the national debt and these are completely unsustainable.
Go to any factory floor in this country and you will find the exact same sentiment. Why would a steelworker, who's had his shift-pay slashed, his conditions lowered and already receives less holiday and takes less days off sick going to have sympathy with the public sector? Apparently, the steelworker must be an over-privileged Right wing toff.

so a few thousand idiots went on a march.... they do most saturdays, nothing better to do, and apart from causing a few transport delays has no effect.

tomcatwarne: I don't support any war, hope you get somewhere with your efforts. I haven't lived in England for some time. But this all sounds to familiar
In layman's terms the public sector is taking the piss. It's as if they have no idea of the gravity of the national situation, their gravy train must come to an end for the sake of all British people regardless of social class.
You know this can not be otherwise when even Labour, even the Man stood upon the podium addressing these crowds, believes the cuts are necessary and offers nothing more than austerity-lite.
Being the Son of a shop-steward steelworker from Sheffield - who had his legs broke by Thatcher's police - I consider it offensive that this protest now could in any way be compared to working class struggles of the past.
