I live in Canada and have no interest in a relationship presuit with someone that lives so far away. All the ones that have contacted me, I must admit, have been very nice but really a long distance relationship - I think not. Also in my profile I state what age catogory I am interested in meeting but it does not stop a wide range of ages contacting me. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do?
Unfortunately you will get many messages from people from over seas.
Some for scams, or green card. Everyone gets them. Just use your instincts. It also helps to (politely) let them know you are not interested and all else fails, block them. Good luck.

Thanks for your advice. I wish this site narrowed the search options and had just Canada instead of North America. Someone was kind enough to email me and tell me how to block alot so that I could do it by age. That has really helped.

Us guys get the same, I would suppose it is just a common issue.I,at times find it quite humorous,after all it is quite easy to press the delete button. lol
Well, this IS an INTERNATIONAL site ...You can set your preferences to age/area etc...try that it should help

If you go to "your home" then account settings then look for edit match info, you can select to hear from canada only.
You can also post in your profile that you are not interested in long-distance relationships.

Yes, so far contacts from o/ countries...way younger too.!! I usually reply and we email a couple times, but doesn't go beyond that.
I have in my profile that if you are not near my age and live close to my area do not mail me as I will not write back. Guess they cannot read as I still get maki from 40 yr. olds and mostly not from Canada.

Just delete your account,that way nobody can bother you.
Hi chosehappiness, if you go into your mailbox, you can put blocks into area, age, relationship type etc. Writing anything in your profile text won't make much of a difference, I'd say about 90% don't read it anyway.
