You can close your eyes to things you don't want to see but you can't close your heart to things you don't want to feel.

I would like to see you comment about this thought.

i spent this afternoon w/a friend. he arrived w/a box of chocolates that are only available in glasgow at xmas time, took me out to a very nice restaurant & refused my contribution to the bill. we gossiped & debated, laughed & were a general scandal.

as he was dropping me off at the train station, he verbally put his foot into it. a brief & awkward moment, apologies on both sides, a hasty kiss good-bye. & tho he's sorry & im sorry & all is intellectually forgiven, i still feel the ickiness of what was said.

i can't make the feeling vanish by closing my emotional eyes but its what i do w/that feeling that's important.

You can pretend to close your eyes to things you don't want to see, it doesn't mean they're not there and will nip you in the butt for failing to acknowledging them.

The heart, has a mind of its own and you can't tell it how or what to feel. I tried to do it, and I've been telling it not to feel this way, every day. It is still feeling and even more stronger. Damn!

well I agree somewhat to your statement.. for one.... You can close your eyes and chose not to see things around you... this could be emotionaly or physically, But also there are things around you that you cant realy block from your emotional or physical vision even tho that you want to..... like walking down the street you can choose not to see one thing but you cant always ignore things you want to. There is so much going on in the world right now you cant always block everything from your line of sight. * I dont mean only vision I also mean the emotional way of sight*
And you cant close your heart to things that you dont want to feel, You cant in a sense. Unless you make yourself numb from feelings. Which i have meet people who have done this.. Now as much as they state that they have done this I dont think they can 100%.certain situations They can but, You cant block all feelings. Its a sense that comes with your inner being,, and everyone feels the sense of hurt, love, sadness, and joy.
