None of those things matter to me right now except for the fact that I'm FORCED to have money. If I don't pay taxes etc I'll be arrested.
I actually tried living in a back-to-basics lifestyle in this day and age. It won't work because everytime you need something from nature there are laws preventing you from getting it. So you are forced to have to deal with buying it from someone. That includes everything from the water that you drink to the land that you live on!
Moreover, I actually had horses for transportation, but riding them on the road with cars traveling by at 60 miles an hour was dangerous. Trying to ride them off-road required tresspassing on other people's property to go anywhere! And finally, there's even an ordinance that you can't ride a horse into town here unless you have "parade" permit and that cost $$$

To genuinely love nature and appreciate the fact that everything in life really is free. Or at least it was before the world became over-populated and so-called "civilized".

Would your spouse need implants or liposuction. Would your muscles be worth a damn except for working. Will your children be without a loving father for the sake of greed. Would you be happy with less.
The real treasures in life are buried under foolish things and ways.
The love of your spouse, children and their love. To provide for them and keep them safe. Teach the children the ways of life. To keep the good and stay away from the bad. The moments spent with your spouse and children are sweet as honey and fill the soul with contentment and joy. But they are buried under foolishness and vanities. If all of the family understood this. Each caring about each other , all would have a wonderful life without the problems that the modern family suffer to give to each other.
Why can we not have this even today as things are, knowing that all else is dung in importance.
All I ever wanted was a family and to give them my best. But the life I wanted does not exist anymore. Things and vanities are now more important than family, friends and even someones life.

The true family unit needs to be restored. By this I mean a group of people that live as one unit. Each loving the other as themselves.

This is all I have ever wanted my entirely life.
I'm extremely family-oriented and 100% monogamous. Always have been.
I would have made some kids a really great father. I would have even home-schooled them!
I have always believed that it's better to live a very simple lifestyle in the country that can be supported via a part-time job or even a very small home business. Thus providing family time together instead of spending 40 hours a week slaving for a company!
That lifestyle is extremely doable. Unfortunately, far too many women view this is at being unmotivated! Like you had mentioned in the OP, they seem to want all the fancy things of vanity and to keep up with the Jones rather than to focus on the important things in life like raising a loving family!

This is precisely what I want too. I just can't find a woman who wants it.

Actually, I have nothing against technology, or having other people on the planet.
I only ask a few things,….
1. Don't let technology become the basis of a greedy throw-away wasteful unappreciative economic-based society that just rapes the earth and takes it all for granted.
2. Let everyone on the planet be pure of heart. No criminals, no power seekers. No politically leaders. No religious fanatics who use religion as a guise for their own personal bigotry.
3. Everyone cherishes the golden rule and genuinely does not bother their neighbors in any way shape or form. No wars, no crimes, no trying to get over on anyone for any reason at all.
If people can behave like that they are welcome in my dream.

The point is to care about each as it should be.
The dream is not to live as a cave person but to have the proper value on things compared to others.

i can't just see the dream...i have to see the substance underneath.
but i also need more than just a mate. (well, i don't need a mate AT ALL, lol...) friends, family, co-workers, the weirdo down the street...the diversity of life is what intrigues me. so many differences, so many chances to learn.

Money is now only paper with no value. Gold is worthless but shiney. Who cares about spinner rims. No need to wax the car..no one to impress. A rolex would be nothing more than a watch to tell time by.
