In the Mid 1990's a TV expos'e shown here in the UK showed the extremely poor paople of Gran Rosario reduced to eating cats to survive due to the high prices of all other meat. The translator also said that dogs had also been eaten.

Good afternoon to all the PC Must Nots wave
If you live by the coast, how about A Sunday Special for this weekend ?
Dorset Delight - Roast Seagull with Turnip

Everyone thinks seagulls can be a bit of a menace. But did you know they are delicious? -- All you need to cook this delicacy is a live seagull, a bag of chips, a turnip and a flagon of cyder.

1) Kill the seagull by carefully placing the bag of chips in the road. -- The seagull flies down to eat the chips, and gets hit by a car.

2) Collect the seagull carcass, and roast on a low heat, on a bed of turnips.

3) Serve with Chips.

4) Wash down with the cyder. Mmm!

I never order take out. I
make my own meals. :)

I did look up on Google:
Gran Rosario + eat dog
and I found:

"Cat meat was consumed in the city of Gran Rosario in Argentina in the middle of the economic crisis in 1996. As citizens of Gran Rosario argued to the media, "It's not denigrating to eat cat, it keeps a child's stomach full."

It made me sick to my stomach :(
