jac379: Yes, thanks. My daughter and granddaughter have moved out, I'm looking for somewhere else to live, but not having much luck with that. I've decided to slow it down and maybe look to move in six months time to get Christmas out of the way (workwise) and to settle into a part time post-grad course I'm starting in September.
I'm hoping to find a place deeper into the valleys, on top of a mountain with some good forestry walks. I've seen some amazingly quirky miner's cottages built into the mountains, but nothing as yet quite suitable, mostly because my dog can't use the crampons, climbing ropes and bridges necessary to get into the back garden!
So, lots going on, stressful at times, but its all moving forward in the direction I'm looking for.
That's really serendipitous for me because I am also eager to move away from this town I am in. Its time I think. But I know I have to wait till end of my next semester when I get a longer break.
Good for you doing post grad. I would like to if I do well in my undergrad course. Doing good so far. I love study. Bizarre but true. Mind you I appreciate the break you really feel you deserve one at the end of exams. But its challenging and keeps me motivated.
I guess you will miss the girls and at the same time appreciate your space.
Hey the Quirky miner's cottages sound a lot like the opal caverns in Coober Pedy. South Australia. They are awesome. Always had a romantic notion to live in one. So Snap jaq.

Oh golly, that is a bit weird, in such a similar place and on other sides of the world.
I bet you can trace some ancestry back to somewhere near me.

I am London born, so only a half an aussie accent. More of a possie accent. My dad was born in Pontyprid when his mum was evacuated during the war does that count? Hahaha!
jac379: PS. I've just tried to say 'serendipitous' in an Ausie accent. I like. It takes approximately half the time it takes to say it in a Welsh accent.
Noo! but you got the singing to do with it I don't. Would sound awesome in a welsh accent.
