Newlife08: Why do I get the feeling you are really enjoying this mickey

It's not over til the fat lady sings - or the last ball is bowled, or the last wicket is gone, or Warnie, McGrath, Ponting and Gilchrist come back to save us .... please

I'm enjoying it the way the Aussies used to enjoy it, when they used to pummel us into the ground & weren't happy unless they whitewashed us rolling on the floor laughing

But that's history, the tide has turned, now we turn the screw & look for the whitewash peace

Anyway you should be happy, why not fly the cross of St George at the front of your house to upset the neighbours thumbs up

No, the Ashes are already retained by England because Australia can't win. At best Australia can make it a draw if they win the next two tests.

England just want to win so it's not a draw :)

The angular features of Jackson Bird to share the new ball. Only two previous Tests for the right-armer, but he does a bit with the ball. Three slips, a gully and a short leg for Joe Root, who's off the mark right away with a couple through the off side. Then a genuine edge, but short of the slips. Very good start from Bird, he looks like a man that might camp on off stump.

Doesn't make much sense to anyone who is not a cricket tragic?? laugh
