I have lost 120 lbs in 11 months. Diet and exercise is all you need. Cut out sugar including sodas and you have to exercise especially if you are over 40. I am still dieting and after I lose 20 more lbs, I will be done losing weight........hard part is to keep it off.

That's mostly what I did, work out an hour-ish a day and get a bit of running in for the cardio. I also stripped 95% of the sugar I was downing, and went to nutrasweet for coffee sweetener, and diet coke with lime for soda-based consumption.

Thanks Blanca, but doesn't Jolly Old Santa look cute too? That poses a question within this thread. If a guy is really cute but heavy, would a woman date him? Or if a woman was very beautiful but heavy, would a guy ask her out? I am not talking about people who find heaviness attractive to begin with. Thanks.

The last man I seriously dated was a truck driver. He weighed about 350 lbs. He was only 6 ft 1. If a man is heavy would I date him? Of course. I have dated more than one. I have loved them the same as well. Weight to me, does not make the man. That can always be changed with motivation and self-discipline. I need to lose about 40 or so to make "myself" happy...not others.

I feel much better than I did before, at first I lacked a bit of the motivation and drive. Once I saw the state police physical pre-qual test requirements and was determined to not fail it, the motivation quickly changed and I'm driving for it full-force. Once I put my mind on getting something done, it'll be done if it's physically possible for me to make it so.
The hardest part with this was that I started smoking again, and quit again during all of this - mental focus goes a long away in that respect.
