I use google mail and was disconcerted to say the very least when I first noticed a while ago that key words in my emails were being picked up on by advertisers.
Does the same thing happen here? I say this because ever since I posted a thread in the Australian forum about cheap flights to Melbourne after my son and his wife emigrated, my WVM is chocabloc with CS guys from Melbourne. Non forum posters I may add.

Maybe I'm just being paranoid.
Maybe it's just that non forum posters read the forums more than I thought.

just cookies that track us, if use for example ccleaner, will eliminate most though absolutely anything you search, flights/goods etc, you will then see ads relating to these, google etc get paid when you follow a link as do other advertisers, gd business eh? lol You can set you browser security to " do not track" in reality though, you're gonna be tracked lol

All that stuff I understood before but now that I use my ipad and apple for almost everything it's a whole new ball game.

yes, true so always delete, clean everything with cc cleaner but even better is an ad from ghostery , so you can block all trackers,in this prog you cxan switch trackers on or off, as you like
All of the "free" services collect your data. Just be sure that you do not put anything personal when you visit these sites. Also it is a good idea to delete your cookies every day. (On Windows, go to the 'Contral panel', choose "Internet Options" and check the box for "Browsing History" and then choose "Apply". That should delete all cookies and your browsing history from your comnputer.)

I do that religiously, but it doesn't seem to make much difference here.

to delete the cookies wont help much coz there are still the trackers left, do both delete the cookies and use ghostery
