Something a bit different....
Do you sleepwalk? What have you done?
I know most people do as a child - I remember being found in various parts of the house for no good reason and no explanation a few times
The last time as a child, I was about ten and marched into my parents bedroom, turning on the light, in the early hours. I remember saying 'I'm chasing my torch - it floated away' and have a dim recollection that it was preceding me, flying slowly in mid air (it wasnt). I was given the suggestion of going back to bed and not worrying about it for now, and apparently did.
Flash forward 14 years.
I'd been driving all day on a long round-trip round the UK, I spent a week and a half trying to see all the friends I hadnt seen for too long in one go. I'd driven from Glasgow to Harlech that morning, seen friends there, then moved 20 miles down the coast and stopped to spend a few hours on a beach relaxing. I then drove down to Carmarthen, across to the M4 and headed for England.
At Cardiff West services I realised, despite it only being about 5pm, that I was too tired to safely drive. I moved around to the far edge of the car park, got in the back seat of the car, and curled up with a pillow to get some rest.
I woke up an hour later. Sitting in the drivers seat, doing 45 mph in 3rd gear down the slow lane of the M4 towards london with one eye open and one closed, and no seatbelt on, and no headlights. I think someone had beeped at me as it was starting to get dark.
that scared me. I had and have no recollection of how i got into the front of the car again, got the key out of my pocket to start it up, or got onto the motorway. I dont like to imagine what I'd do or say if I'd caused an accident in that state.
So thats my sleepwalking nightmare - a near disaster that somehow wasnt. Anyone had scarier or funnier than that?
