Everything seems geared to spending money you have not got in the vain chance of getting that Big Win being neither gambler or heavy drinker little chance of me getting the big win or drinking myself to death :)

This isn't just relevant to the UK though. Advertising through the media has always been there in many countries.
Even worse are the number of Credit Companies that are allowed to peddle their wares and encourage people into borrowing money way beyond their means.
Gambling is a disease for some people, and they should curb these adverts but it's just another way of making money I'm afraid.
