Not familiar with the Grylls species of bear but most types of wild bears are usually quite large and strong.So my money be on this Ray fella dying first unless he has made some kind of weapon in time.

would rather watch Ray Mears any day on TV i feel like a bear in the woods watching Grylls 
Their both very experienced, i believe that Bear would have the edge but he could also die in some crazy attempt to cross a river or climb down off a waterfall instead of staying cool and calm and considering all other options as i believe Ray would, Bear's a bit wild and a bit of a dare devil and you know what they say, if you knock on enough doors, some day, one will open! R.I.P. Steve Irwin.
