Recently....since my step-fathers entrance into Medicare....I have found that my own natural mother has put fifty two acres of land only into the youngest two siblings name....Background....My Father drowned when I was two and Mom was pregnant w/my only whole Brother...she got double indemity life insurance from my Father death which in 1954 was twenty thousand dollars....she also received Social Security checks for my brother and I during the eighteen years we were at home....She remarried my step-father nine months later...he was an airman and a staff sgt for fifteen of those years and they had five more children together...I worked from the time I was nine years old oft and on ....babysitting ect. for my own money....our money went to pay for this land...since I heard conversations at night about this....He (my step-father controlled everything financially) Mother did not even know how to write a check when he was put in long-term eight months ago....my baby half-brother has handled everything. A lot of people have advised me to seek legal help about this....anyone out there know of any cases won on this type of matter?
You should seek advice from a attorney who specializes in probate matters. Initial consultation is typically free of charge. Call your local Bar association, which can direct you to the proper counsel.
Thats a thought...I do know he bought it from his first cousin...I was standing there when he talked him into it and at what price...I guess public record and deeds would have that at the County Courthouse...guess I'll go and dig it up....
TabooN....Yes in my dysfunctional family....always....My Natural Fathers Mother is 102 and her advice is not to even claim I belong to any of them....Grandma is pretty wise...
